The purpose of this five-year cooperative agreement is to support the implementation of immunization practices by national-level pharmacy organizations and improve communication among pharmacists, state and local immunization programs, and other healthcare providers. Additionally this NOFO will support the education and training on vaccine recommendations and administration, implementation of pandemic vaccination planning guidance, and collaboration with leaders in communities where confidence in vaccines is low. This will be accomplished with the following activities:
- Provide education and training on current ACIP recommendations, proper vaccine administration, storage, and handling of vaccines to ensure safe and effective vaccination practices.
- Implement sustainable immunization practices including referral, documentation, and reporting of vaccines that adhere to federal, state, and local jurisdiction vaccine supply chain and administration technical standards.
- Develop and implement pandemic vaccination planning guidance to reduce immunization disparities through formalized agreements between pharmacies, pharmacy associations, and public health programs.
- Collaborate with leaders in communities where confidence in vaccines is low and with those with a mission to provide equitable healthcare, including vaccinations, to build trust, empower pharmacy personnel, and engage communities to bolster vaccine confidence.

Additional Information on Eligibility
Private non-profit institutions of higher education CDC will consider any application requesting an award higher than the approximate average award of $200,000 as non-responsive and it will receive no further review.
