Amelia Peabody Foundation Grants for Young People in Massachusett

Dated: April 21, 2023

The Amelia Peabody Foundation provides grants to increase the number, range, and depth of positive learning experiences available to materially disadvantaged young people living in the cities and towns of Massachusetts.

Donor Name: Amelia Peabody Foundation

State: Massachusetts

Type of Grant: Grant

Deadline: 06/06/2023

Size of the Grant: $10,000 to $50,000

Details:

The Trustees of the Foundation encourage applications from across Massachusetts, especially areas outside Boston.

Grants are made only for programs, operations, and capital projects in Massachusetts. Requests for challenge grants to raise funds from other sources as a match are also accepted as part of an application.

Funding Information

The amount should always correspond to the requirements of the proposal, the size of the organization and its capacity to accomplish the grant purpose. Most grants fall in the $10,000 to $50,000 range for programs or operations. A smaller number of grants, generally in the $50,000 to $100,000 range, are typically capital improvement grants or other grants which take an organization to a new level of operations in respect to the quality or quantity of services provided.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Grants are only made to 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations for projects and programs that are carried out in Massachusetts.
  • Please note that to comply with Amelia Peabody Foundation-specific requirements, the address printed on the IRS 501(c)(3) documentation for the applicant must be in Massachusetts. If the applicant’s IRS 501(c)(3) address is not in Massachusetts a Fiscal Sponsor with a Massachusetts address on its 501(c)(3) must be used. Or, if an applicant is not 501(c)(3) qualified, it must obtain a Fiscal Sponsor with such a designation and Massachusetts address.
  • If a Fiscal Sponsor is being used, you must submit a signed Fiscal Sponsor Statement by them and a copy of their 501(c)(3). The Fiscal Sponsor Statement includes additional information about the requirements of being a Fiscal Sponsor.
