Agropolis Fondation launches Call for International Mobility

The Agropolis Foundation has launched an appeal to fund international mobility to support three types of mobility.

Details:

Types of Mobility 

  • Long-Term Incoming Mobility: doctoral student, post-doc or young foreign scientist coming to France for a minimum of 4 months within a network unit.
  • Incoming Mobility of Medium Term: hosting a senior researcher within the network for a period of 1 to 3 months.
  • Outgoing Mobility of young scientist, post-doc, engineer, doctoral or master’s students (6 months’ maximum).

Objectives

  • Consolidate the international recognition of the scientific excellence of the network;
  • Develop and/or capitalize on strategic themes for the Foundation;
  • Strengthen or initiate partnerships of scientific excellence for the founding members of the Foundation by hosting senior foreign researchers;
  • Encourage the international mobility of young French researchers (masters, doctoral students, post-docs and young scientists) from the Foundation’s network.

Themes

The scope is designed to generate proposals addressing the various themes identified under each of the three crosscutting axes, which are fully aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDGs 12, 13 and 15.

  • Axis 1: Agriculture and climate change: adaptation and mitigation
  • Axis 2: Conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity
  • Axis 3: Responsible production and consumption

Funding Information 

  • The maximum budget for each mobility project is 30 k€

Eligibility Criteria

  • Long-term incoming mobility
    • The young scientist candidate must be an early-career scientist or senior lecturer holding a permanent position, holding a doctorate, a post-doc or a doctoral student under the age of 40 at the deadline of the call for proposals
    • Only foreign applicants (non-French) administratively linked to a foreign public scientific institution (research and/or higher education) and not residing in France, can apply
    • Foreign candidates from the private sector cannot apply under this call for proposals.
    • The visiting scientist undertakes to organize seminars/ conferences during his stay.
  • Incoming mobility of medium duration
    • Only foreign candidates (non-French), over 40 years old, administratively linked to a foreign public scientific institution research and/or higher education) and not residing in France, can apply
    • Important: Note that proposals submitted in this category are expected to promote long-term scientific partnerships between scientists/researchers and the institutions involved. Any proposal submitted will be evaluated in particular with regard to this objective.
    • Foreign candidates from the private sector cannot apply under this call for proposals.
    • The visiting scientist undertakes to organize seminars/conferences during his stay.
  • Outgoing mobility
    • Young scientists, engineers, post-docs, doctoral students and master’s students must not be older than 40 at the time of application.
    • They can be permanent or non-permanent but must be administratively attached to a research unit of the Foundation’s scientific network.
    • For the MSc level, a single application can cover up to two students provided that they work in a team, with complementary expertise/ approaches, that the mobility is carried out in the same field and that they have the same supervisor.
