Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible applicants for this funding opportunity are community-based non-profit victim services providers that deliver direct services to victims of crime. To be eligible, organizations must have a primary mission focused on providing direct services to victims of crime and demonstrate the capacity and specific training required to effectively deliver these services
- Applicants will be required to provide a concise description of the proposed services to be offered to victims of crime, including measures that will be used to track the services provided. Additionally, successful applicants will demonstrate how the proposed services will have a positive impact on victims. This includes addressing the need for services that specifically target marginalized and underserved populations within the community, reducing access barriers, such as language, literacy, disability, cultural practices, and transportation issues and increasing service capacity in geographic areas where access to services is challenging, limited, or non-existent, while ensuring that the proposed services are trauma-informed
- Successful applicants may propose a range of victim services, which may include but are not limited to: safe emergency shelter, crisis counseling, accompaniment to court and medical appointments, safety planning, assistance with obtaining protective orders, support group services, aid in accessing benefits, assistance with returning to school, facilitating employment in living wage jobs, securing safe and affordable housing, family support services, prevention classes, and other victim advocacy services.
