- Fiscal hosts are allowed.
- Preference is for new, highly impactful and longer timeframe projects.
- Past funding is not a guarantee for future funding. As a general rule, SCACF does not fund the same project for more than 3 years.

- Political organizations or political campaigns
- Annual fundraising drives
- Endowments
- Debt retirement or deficit financing
- Grants for travel or conferences
