The Activation Fund supports discrete one-year projects in Central Massachusetts that activate creative and innovative approaches to alleviating community health concerns; a community organization’s movement to the next level of capacity and effectiveness, which the organization can sustain; partnerships to address health issues with new strategies; and/or the exploration of emerging health challenges and opportunities. Requests are typically considered on an annual basis.
Funding Information
In general, grants are one year in duration. While grant amounts will vary based on project scope, request amounts in the range of $60,000 to $120,000 are encouraged. The chance of an Activation Fund Letter of Intent being funded is roughly one in five.
Eligibility Criteria
Only organizations that are verified with a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) designation, as determined by the Internal Revenue Service, and/or those operating under a fiscal sponsor with verified tax-exempt status, are eligible to apply.
