The Foundations vision is to positively impact the world by creating opportunities for increased self-sufficiency and quality of life. To achieve this vision, they have defined nine vision statements that reflect the commitment to the long-term impact they hope to be a part of in the next 20 to 30 years.

Values

The Foundation values guide and an important legacy of the H.T. Hayashi family. They are reflected in their team, the people they work with and the partnerships they form. The values reflect the vision they have for the people of Hawaii and the ways in which they can all build a better future together.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant must be a qualified Hawaii-based tax-exempt 501 (c) (3) organization or a 501 (c) (3) organization on the Continent with a physical presence and operations in Hawaii. Fiscal sponsorships will be considered.
  • Generally, only one request per organization will be considered in each calendar year.
  • The Foundation does not fund loans, endowments, lobbying, festivals, and similar one-time events; it does not purchase advertising, attendance at, or sponsorship of commercial events; it does not provide scholarships.
