It is a solid stepping stone for nonprofits interested in applying to participate in the Great Fish Community Challenge. It provides the Community Foundation with the opportunity to learn more about a nonprofit’s programs, governance, and financial health. As in the past, Community Grants will support projects, programs and/or operations of applying organizations that are not participating in the Great Fish Community Challenge.

The maximum Community Grant request is $10,000.00.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applying organization must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation or publicly-owned tax exempt corporation serving Flathead County, Montana, OR a 501(c)(4) service organization or 501(c)(6) trade organization presenting a specific project or program that serves a charitable purpose for residents of Flathead County, Montana.
- Tax exempt status must exist at the time of application. A copy of the organization’s official I.R.S. Determination Letter will be uploaded into this application.
- The Community Foundation recognizes there are nonprofits in Lincoln County providing crucial health and human services. If your organization falls into this category, please submit a grant application, and the Grants Committee will consider your request.
