The goal of this program is to strengthen healthcare delivery in rural areas of the Delta region. This will be done by improving financial and operational performance as well as the quality of care in rural healthcare organizations.
The Delta region includes parts of eight states—Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Tennessee.

- Domestic means the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau. Individuals are not eligible applicants under this NOFO.
