To support achievement of aspirations, they seek to fund an intentional mix and balance of Whole-Person Health and Wellbeing endeavors, including:
- Community-Based Whole-Person Health and Wellbeing
- They are increasingly investing in community-based (vs. medical system-based) organizations that are aligned with aspirations in whole-person health and wellbeing — moved by the unique positioning of community organizations to ensure choice, expand access, and empower people to take charge of their own health and wellbeing.
- Medical System-Based Whole-Person Health and Wellbeing
- They fund select initiatives at leading medical systems that are committed to fundamental internal change by developing/deepening an effective and pervasive whole-person model of care.
- Healthcare Choice/Bodily Autonomy
- They believe strongly in choice and bodily autonomy — that individuals should be empowered and supported as the principal agents of their own health and wellbeing. There is no possibility of whole-person health and wellbeing without true bodily autonomy.
- National Leadership and Engagement
- They are committed to supporting national and regional efforts to advance whole-person health and wellbeing.
- Professional Training and Education
- They invest in professional training and education programs, with the goal of increasing the availability of whole-person health and wellbeing practitioners — especially practitioners of color.
Eligibility Criteria
- They focus on funding organizations that are aligned with mission and are working to address deep, meaningful needs that they are uniquely positioned to meet
- They only fund 501(c)(3) organizations
- Although they sometimes fund select national organizations, they generally fund organizations working in Minnesota, Dallas, Northern San Francisco Bay Area/Marin County, and the Vail Valley
- They do not consider requests for: capital improvements, endowments, or scientific research.
