The Promising Ventures Fellowship program specifically focuses on organizations within the early childhood (prenatal to age 5) development space to accelerate their growth and impact. This year, they are offering TWO fellowship tracks: the Early Innovation Track and the Growth and Scaling Track:
- New: The Early Innovation Track, sponsored by Overdeck Family Foundation, is for ventures working toward prototyping or piloting a high-impact innovation in their programs, products, or services.
- The Growth and Scaling Track is for ventures looking to evolve their work to achieve greater impact and scale.
What’s in it for fellows?
- Personalized coaching and help on your goals from Promise’s team of experienced entrepreneurs and executives
- Facilitated peer-to-peer workshopping of a pressing organizational or leadership challenge you are facing
- A tight-knit community of peer ECD social entrepreneurs
- Ongoing support and community after the program ends
- Connections and access to the ECD field’s key leaders and stakeholders!
Funding Information
- They plan to fund five to eight projects at amounts up to $4,800 each.
- The Fellowship will run from October 5, 2022 to March 21, 2023.
Eligibility Criteria
- They are looking for applications from ventures (e.g. organizations, companies, institutes, or emerging projects/teams) working in the U.S. early childhood space. They define early childhood as prenatal to age 5, including the adults who care for children and influence their environments. That can include parents, caregivers, educators, pediatricians, social workers, advocates, and more.
- They highly value diversity and encourage ventures with diverse leadership teams to apply. In particular, and in line with their organization’s values, they strongly encourage applications from organizations led by women, people of color, LGBT individuals, and others from historically underrepresented communities.
