The Women’s Foundation of Genesee Valley has always promoted economic self-sufficiency in their community through grant making. As a foundation, they believe it is their responsibility to help level the playing field through equitable programming that builds and equips.
This will be Rochester’s first grant writing course centered around the history of Black philanthropy. Not only will their participants be ready to submit competitive grants, WFGV has committed to providing financial support to organizations enrolled in the course. To remove all barriers, WFGV is offering this program at zero cost.
Funding Information
- Each organization will be awarded $1,000 towards the first grant finding activity. There will be attendance requirements in order to be awarded the amount.
- 6 months, with 10 sessions (in-person and online).
Eligibility Criteria
- Non-profit leaders of color (women)
- You do not have the be in an Executive Director role, but your path must point to fundraising.
- You are allowed to bring one additional person from your organization to participate in the program.
- Your organization must have an official 501c3 designation.
- Your organization must be within Monroe County, NY.
