This year Flyers Charities will be funding programs in the following areas:
- Cancer Outreach and Awareness:
- Funding programs and projects that support cancer awareness, prevention, and treatment for pediatric and adult cancer patients and their families
- Growing the sport of hockey
- Programs that support the growth of the sport of hockey to new and diverse participants and audiences
Funding Information
Single grants will be awarded up to $100,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Organizations are limited to one donation per fiscal year from Flyers Charities
- Flyers Charities will only consider registered 501(c)3 organizations in good standing with the IRS and have been established for more than two (2) years.
- Requests are limited to organizations in the Greater Philadelphia region and should fall under one of the following areas of giving: Growing the game of hockey and cancer outreach and awareness,
- Preference will be given to innovative and unique proposals that offer branding opportunities and employee engagement for the foundation
- All grantees will be required to submit a final report
Proposals for the following are ineligible for consideration:
- Projects or programs that benefit individuals or for-profit organizations
- General operating costs
- Event sponsorships (walks, runs, galas, golf tournaments, etc.)
- Political, Religious, Special interest groups, PTAS, and booster clubs
- Organizations soliciting requests on behalf of a third party
