King County Pediatric Immunization Clinics (Routine Vaccines + COVID) – Washington

Details:

Clinics will be held in partnership with school districts and with community‐ and faith‐based organizations. Awardees must serve children up to age 18 and must offer COVID vaccines as well as all vaccines required for school entry and flu vaccine. The intended beneficiaries are under‐insured and uninsured community members, low‐income communities, Black/African American and Indigenous communities, communities of color, immigrant and refugee communities, and/or communities unable to access immunizations and other healthcare services due to structural and institutional barriers, including fear of deportation, language, transportation, and/or technology access. To be eligible for this funding, Applicants must be enrolled in BOTH the Washington State Childhood Vaccine Program (CVP) and the Washington State COVID‐19 Vaccine Program.

Priority

Children up to age 18 living in zip codes with a Social Vulnerability Index score of .6 or higher. Awardee(s) may also offer flu and COVID vaccinations to children ages 0‐3 and flu and COVID vaccinations to adult family members accompanying children to clinics, but this is not the priority population and clinics must always primarily serve children.

The total maximum amount available in this announcement is $325,000 which may be awarded to one organization or split among multiple organizations.

Eligibility Criteria

Public Health is seeking Applications from King County based healthcare providers that are enrolled in both the Washington State COVID‐19 Vaccination Program and the Washington State Childhood Vaccine Program (CVP) and are in good standing (e.g., minimal amount of vaccine wasted; reports submitted on time).

Applicants must demonstrate experience hosting mobile vaccination clinics (priority given to those with experience delivering routine childhood immunizations); a successful history of working with school districts and/or community‐ and faith‐based organizations; and a successful history serving low‐income, communities of color, and immigrant and refugee communities. Applicants with a presence in South King County or the ability to easily travel to South King County may be prioritized. However, Applicants with reach in other parts of the County will be evaluated.
