The Art Local grant program is a business & building improvement program where downtown businesses and/or building owners can apply for matching funds toward interior or exterior public art projects, in partnership with local artists.
This program is administered by Marietta Main Street in alignment with their mission to promote, preserve, and enhance downtown Marietta according to the Main Street Approach. All project applications will be reviewed by a diverse jury as appointed by the Marietta Main Street Board of Directors. Funding is not guaranteed for any applicant.
The vision of Art Local is a vibrant, revitalized, visually appealing downtown that celebrates local artists and enhances the creative economy in the City of Marietta. This program is intended to pair financial resources with downtown business and/or building owners who seek to partner with local artists to install public art.

Eligibility Criteria
- Commercial business/building owners
- Projects within the C4 District of the City of
- Marietta, OH
- New projects, not completed, under construction, or underway
- Projects with 50% matching funds from other funding sources
Eligible Projects
- Interior and exterior public art projects, such as murals, sculptures, memorials, integrated architectural or landscape architectural work, or community art
- Projects that partner with local artists; local is defined as a 90-mile radius
- Projects that increase the value of a building, business, and/or the creative economy downtown
- Projects that can be funded and completed in full no later than November 1, 2022, including final project reporting requirements
