2023 Rotary Service Partnership Grant to enhance Local Communities in Maryland

The Rotary Club of Frederick desires to create service partnerships with Frederick County organizations whose missions enhance their local communities.

Details:

This year, at least $30,000 will be available to Frederick County nonprofit organizations. Specifically, eligible programs will address one of the following service areas:

  • Peace Building & Conflict Resolution
  • Community Economic Development
  • Supporting the Environment
  • Water Sanitation & Hygiene
  • Disease Prevention & Treatment
  • Maternal & Child Health
  • Education & Literacy
  • Service to Veterans

Special consideration will be given to projects or programs which support the ALICE population; are related to the financial or other impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic; and/or are related to increasing diversity, equity and inclusion in the organization or the community.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for consideration, Rotary Service Partner applicants must:

  • Be an established 501(c)(3) organization;
  • Provide services in Frederick County;
  • Demonstrate a compelling need in the community which the program or project will address;
  • Be willing to accept partial funding;
  • Offer members of the Rotary Club of Frederick opportunities to volunteer and/or collaborate with your organization.  (Not required but might favorably influence decision)

Additional Information

  • The Rotary Club of Frederick will make its decisions based upon the direct relationship to the areas of interest as stated above, the need for support, and the funds available.
  • Special consideration will be given to projects/programs which support the ALICE population; are related to the financial or other impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic; and/or are related to increasing diversity, equity and inclusion in the organization or the community.
  • Successful bidders will be asked to accept their award at a Rotary meeting, date to be determined.
  • Grant monies must be expended within the 2023 calendar year.  A final report will be due in January 2024.
  • Note: Service Partnership Grants are awarded through The Rotary Club of Frederick and its Grants Committee.
