The City of Palm Springs is accepting applications for its Commercial Security Camera System Pilot Grant Program to assist businesses with purchase and installation of security cameras at commercial properties within the city.

Funding Information

  • The program features a grant of up to $500 per business and will be paid as a reimbursement to business or property owners based on actual costs for purchase and installation of security cameras.
  • A total of $20,000 is available for the pilot program at this time.

Requirement 

  • Submit completed Grant application to the City of Palm Springs Community and Economic Development Department for review of camera placement;
  • After receiving approval of the grant application, purchase and install a Security Camera System of applicant’s choice at the property;
  • Register the Security Camera System with the Palm Springs Police Department
  • Security Camera System must remain in place for three (3) years unless replaced by an upgraded system at the sole expense of the business/property owner;
  • Complete an agreement with the City of Palm Springs and submit the following:
    • Copy of Valid Palm Springs Business License (Applicant)
    • Copy of Valid Palm Springs Business License (Contractor hired to perform work)
    • o Completed W-9
    • Proof of payment (up to $500) for purchase and installation of Commercial Security Camera System
    • Evidence of authorization of signatory to execute legal documents on behalf of the business (i.e. most recent tax return, Articles of Incorporation or Statement of Information)
    • Proof that all required City of Palm Springs permits, if any, have been attained. Contact the City’s Permit Center to determine if any permits are required.
