The City offers funding, through the Community Outreach Committee (COC), for individuals and organizations that have plans to implement a program to help meet the needs of City of Bowie residents. Previous applicants are welcome to reapply.
Community Outreach Committee grants are awarded in areas of social services, senior citizens, and mental health. Please note that this year, the City will also highlighting projects that include a social justice component. Individuals, groups and/or organizations that provide services that assist underserved residents of the incorporated City of Bowie are also encouraged to apply.
Funding Information
In 2021, $10,000 is available to be awarded to successful applicants through a competitive selection process during round 2. The maximum award amount for any grant is $5,000.
Eligibility Criteria
Individuals, groups or organizations who will provide a program or project that will benefit residents of the City of Bowie. Grant applicants do not need to be City residents; however, programs should be conducted whenever possible within the incorporated City of Bowie which has a greater likeliness of including City residents.
