The maximum award under the program is $7,500 per event.
Eligible Uses for Rewards
Donations are only used to cover costs incurred in connection with special events, including fees charged by the City including police services, parking bags, and permits; and other event costs such as private security, portable restrooms, and event fencing.

- Promote cultural and creative business
- Encourage exercise
- Community Engagement
- The use of community volunteers
- Business cooperation and support
- Participation in non-profit organizations and in the community
- The Effectiveness of the Natural Plan
- Business Plan
- Transportation Plan
- The Financial Plan, which will have the budget of the event and the use of the budget
- Previous Experience (Note: It is not a requirement that the applicant have previous experience)
- Community Behavior – examples include:
- Grants will be awarded based on the following milestones:
- Public events with free admission will have more privileges than events with general admission.
- Events that make communities stronger through investment in and community involvement.
- Events that encourage participation from diverse audiences and diverse cultures.
- Events that promote business activities.
- The new event.
- The event that focuses on the family.
- Events that support the cultural and creative environment of Sacramento.
