The City of Fredericksburg’s Historic Preservation Ordinance requires that properties located in the City’s Historic District or which are designated as Historic Landmarks be preserved and not fall into disrepair. Property owners in need of financial assistance to help repair historic properties can apply for funds to repair and maintain properties.
The City of Fredericksburg understands that some homeowners may need assistance in covering expenses related to the maintenance of these historic properties.

- The grant is a reimbursement. Given the limited amount of funding, priority is given to owner-occupied structures with significant financial need.
