The City of Irving is now accepting applications for its Neighborhood Matching Grant Program to encourage neighborhood leaders to implement projects that will foster a spirit of community.

Details:
City of Irving funds must be matched by the neighborhood association equally by a private source of funds, labor or in-kind contributions.
Project Categories
- There are four project categories available to receive funds:
- Communications: Newsletters, fliers, websites and other projects that enhance communication among neighborhood residents
- Neighborhood Identity: Streets sign toppers, signs, banners, etc
- Physical Improvement: Minor improvements of neighborhood green spaces, tree planting (specific amount and type of tree must be included in the application) and beautification of neighborhood gateway entries
- Special Event: Neighborhood social, educational or cultural activities, etc. Events must be nonpolitical in nature
- All projects should have neighborhood support and meet the following requirements:
- Take place within the boundaries of the neighborhood
- Provide a public benefit to the neighborhood
- Involve neighborhood residents directly in all phases.
