The objective of this program is to aid independent small businesses, that are not a part of corporate chains, to install features to aid in customer attraction, increase sales, establish an online web presence and shopping cart system, implement a curbside pickup program, establish expanded outdoor service options, or engage in façade improvements like exterior painting, signage updates, and/or window improvements.
Phase I will make $10,0,000 in one-time funds available to local small businesses.
Program Overview and Eligibility
- Grants up to $10,000 will be awarded to qualified small businesses with no more than 20 full-time employees.
- Grants will be given as reimbursements for pre-approved projects only submitted as part of the grant application and must include itemized receipts and invoices.
- Businesses must be Manteca-based brick and mortar locations.
- Preference will be given to the Central Downtown District and projects creating new jobs.
- Non-profits are not eligible for this grant program.
- Businesses must have been in existence since 1/1/21 and are in good standing with the City with no current issues related to business license, code enforcement violations, and utility bills.
