Youth Mental Health goal is to fund efforts that support children, youth and caregivers of all races and ethnicities in Whatcom County, so they have the support, connections, and healthy relationships they need to belong and thrive. They are primarily interested in working with applicants who want to cultivate neighborliness; support diversity, equity and inclusion; lift community voice; leverage resources; catalyze change; and, build capacity. They aspire to support relevant and timely activities that take a cooperative approach to community building.

This grant opportunity will prioritize organizations and projects for:
- Organizations/efforts whose governance and leadership reflects the communities they are intended to serve and represent the communities in which the work takes place.
- Organizations/efforts that center diversity, equity and inclusion in their work and approach.
- Organizations/efforts with strong relationships and trust in the communities they serve.
- Organizations/efforts that engage children/youth and families in service design and implementation.

Grants up to $20,000 available for operations, programs or projects.
Eligibility Criteria
Unless otherwise noted in the grant round you are applying for, eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations with a valid letter from the IRS recognizing its 501(c)3 status, Native American Tribes, religious and educational institutions, and, projects with an approved fiscal sponsor. City or County Governments requests for non-essential, quality of life, community enhancement projects not typically funded through tax dollars may be eligible.
