Grants to improve the Quality of Life in Missouri

Dated: September 13, 2023

The Northland Community Foundation (NCF), an affiliate of the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, seeks to improve the quality of life in the Northland by increasing charitable giving, connecting donors to community needs they care about and providing leadership on critical community issues.

Type of Grant: Grant

Deadline: 10/25/2023

Size of the Grant: $10,000 to $49,000

Details:

By using an RFP approach, NCF aims to solicit the best thinking of nonprofit organizations, public sector agencies, research institutions, and other entities serving Clay and Platte Counties.

Focus

NCF released a Community Needs Assessment in March 2023. Following a rigorous research process in partnership with several organizations and entities in the Northland, the completed Community Needs Assessment pinpoints gaps in the community ecosystem, and identifies opportunities where investments of philanthropic dollars will have the greatest potential to make measurable differences in the community which are:

  • Mental and behavioral health.
  • Growing needs of a rapidly expanding senior population.
  • Limited availability of childcare/early childhood education.
  • Limited transportation access/infrastructure.

NCF seeks opportunities for the donors it represents to make lasting contributions to the community in one or more of the above areas.

Grants ranging from $10,000 to $49,000 will be considered.
