Maine Arts Commission: Organization Operations Grant Program

Dated: December 17, 2021

Maine Arts Commission is seeking applications for its Organization Operations Grant to provide unrestricted operating funds to 501c3 arts organizations of Maine.

Donor Name: Maine Arts Commission

State: Maine

County: All Counties

Type of Grant: Grant

Deadline (mm/dd/yyyy): 02/17/2022

Size of the Grant: $7,500

Details:

Applicants are able to apply as a small organization (budget under $500,000) or as a large organization (budget over $500,000). Application requirements are the same for both, as is the maximum award amount. Organizations are welcome to apply to all grant programs within a cycle but may only accept one award if offered both Organization Project and Organization Operations funding.

Multidisciplinary or multipurpose organizations, including arts entities embedded in universities and colleges, are eligible if they demonstrate that the arts comprise at least 50% of the organization’s programming and have an independent advisory board. Universities or Colleges may not apply unless the institution in its entirety has over 50% of programming dedicated to arts.

Applications are encouraged from anyone who meets the eligibility requirements. Reviewers may place priority on applicants that serve or represent populations that have historically been under-resourced by arts and cultural funding due to geography, gender, race/ethnicity, disability, or socioeconomic status.
