Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible organizations must have been determined to have 501(c)(3) status by the Internal Revenue Service, and if this organization is a foundation, that it has been determined to be a non-private foundation.
- Eligible organizations must be based in and provide the majority of their services in the metro Kansas City area.
Ineligibility Criteria
The following organizations are not eligible to apply in the Unrestricted Operating Support Cycle: colleges and universities, hospitals, K-12 schools, arts organizations, organizations that require or advocate religious activity as part of or in exchange for services, organizations with annual budgets in excess of approximately $5 million dollars, and local chapters of regional or national organizations who cannot provide local financial information and/or whose local operating budgets exceed $5 million dollars.
