The Greater Rochester Community Health Foundation (“GRCHF”) is a supporting organization of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. It was established with the proceeds from the sale of the nonprofit Frisbie Memorial Hospital to HCA Healthcare, Inc.
The focus of this grant program is access to care, which was identified by initial research of community needs assessments from the major healthcare providers in the region. This grantmaking program is open to nonprofit organizations that serve Strafford County residents and work on access to care challenges. Access to care may include: substance use disorder, food security, housing, senior services, transportation and logistics, culturally appropriate care, awareness of services, care coordination and patient motivation.
Funding Information
Up to $10,000 of general operating support. These are nonrenewable, one-year grants.
Geographic focus
Funding is limited to organizations providing services in Strafford County, New Hampshire. If your organization is headquartered outside of Strafford County but considers Strafford County to be a primary service location, you are eligible to apply.
Eligibility Criteria
Organizations must be recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Organizations that do not have public charity status may apply for grants if another public charity acts as a fiscal sponsor.
The following organization types should not apply:
- Public and private schools
- Hospitals
- Colleges and universities
- Religious organizations
- Municipalities and government entities
