Request for Applications for Arts Emergency Funding – Georgia

Dated: June 12, 2023

The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta is now accepting applications for its Arts Emergency Funding.

Donor Name: Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta

State: Georgia

County: Selected Counties

Type of Grant: Grant

Deadline: 07/10/2023

Size of the Grant: $5,000 – $10,000

Grant Duration: 12 months

Details:

The arts are an economic driver and civic catalyst, building communities and a shared sense of belonging across the Atlanta region. The Foundation’s Arts, Culture, and Creative Enterprises work addresses historic inequities that hinder arts organizations, artists, and small budget creative businesses. This programming supports the creation of art within metro Atlanta’s arts and culture ecosystem, as well as the use of the arts as a tool to amplify and activate community voice, strengthen the regional economy, and foster life-long learning.

They understand the hardships that arts organizations face, especially after the devastating impact of the global pandemic, and the Community Foundation aims to provide support based on a deep understanding of each organization’s unique emergency needs. They know that many of the current financial hardships are a result of difficult circumstances. They request that you provide candid narratives, along with at least one supplemental document to provide context for your request.

Priority Groups

Priority will be given to organizations that are led by or serving Black, Indigenous and People Color (BIPOC), which is defined as organizations that meet at least three of the following four criteria:

  • Organizational leader is BIPOC
  • Majority of board members are BIPOC
  • Majority of clients served are BIPOC and/or
  • Staffing of the organization or the program/project of which funds are requested are BIPOC

Although organizations will not be penalized if they do not employ any paid staff, priority will be given to organizations that have at least one part-time paid employee for the 12 months prior to submitting an application.
