Funding Information
The MOORE Equity in Mental Health Community Grants Program awards will be in the total amount of $10,000 for a two-year funding period contingent on the first year being successfully completed.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the MOORE Equity in Mental Health Community Grants Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a U.S. based non-profit community organization certified as tax exempt in accordance with criteria set forth by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) under Section 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), or 501(c)(6) of the U.S. Tax Code.
- Address one or more of our stated initiatives noted above.
- Demonstrate recent efforts toward addressing mental health and substance use disorder inequities experienced by young people of color.
- Provide a scalable and sustainable plan.
- Have been operational for at least two consecutive years.
- Committed to participating in quarterly MOORE Equity in Mental Health Community Grants Program virtual meetings.
Note: For organizations operating as an unincorporated state or community coalitions, a designated fiscal agent must be identified in your application. The same operational requirements apply.
The MOORE Equity in Mental Health Community Grants Program will not provide grants to:
- Individuals;
- For-profit organizations;
- Any organization that does not have an IRS Section 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), or 501(c)(6) tax exempt status;
- Any organization that discriminates against individuals on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other basis protected by law in your state and/or any federal anti-discrimination statute or regulation; and
- Organizations requesting funding for capital improvement initiatives.
