The Udonis Haslem Foundation has been working with the crypto exchange FTX to give back to the most impactful minority-owned small businesses in the Miami metropolitan area. Inspired by the work of legendary Miami Heat player and philanthropist Udonis Haslem, this partnership exists to help local businesses flourish for years to come in an ever-changing financial marketplace.

Winners of the Small Business Grants will be expected to make three key commitments to help ensure they flourish in a rapidly changing financial environment.

  • Recipients must include an FTX badge into the design of their company website.
  • Awardees must integrate FTX Pay into their
  • e-commerce platform
  • Business owners agree to provide access for FTX & The Udonis Haslem Foundation to capture content that highlights the grants impact for promotional purposes.

Funding Information

A $50,000 grant will be awarded to help businesses grow – specifically small businesses that are owned and operated by women or BIPOC.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Established Businesses: To qualify, each business must be active for a minimum of 1 year or show projected annual revenue of $500K – $5M.
  • Community Builders: The intention of these grants is to enrich the Miami-metro area by focusing on business in the food, retail and hospitality industries.
  • Financial Documentation: Each submission must include financial records from the previous tax year or projected, credible earnings for the following year.
  • Future Forward: The future of money is crypto. Every entrepreneur must be willing to integrate crypto payment options into their business model.
  • Diversity & Inclusion: Businesses must be female or minority-owned to qualify.
  • Video Submission: To give a sense of you and your businesses personality, each applicant must submit a short video that makes the case for why their business deserves a grant and what their plans for the funds would be.
  • Small Business Spirit: Every business must have fewer than 500 full-time employees to qualify.
