Henderson County 2025 Community Impact Target Issues

Education

  - Objective: Increase the percentage of Henderson County children entering Kindergarten ready to learn.

  - Objective: Provide community services to help improve the school performance of historically underserved student populations.

Funding Information

To ensure that UWHC funds have a measurable impact, $5,000 is the minimum funding level.
UWHC grants operate on a two-year cycle.

Eligibility Criteria

All prospective applicants must meet Eligibility Requirements in order to apply for funding.

Applicants must be a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt health and human service organization with at least a two-year history of providing health and human service programs.
Applications must be for programming provided to residents of Henderson County
Applicants must have program results that clearly align with UWHC goals in the areas of Education, Financial Stability, Health, or Basic Needs/Crisis Services.
Agency overhead expenses should be below 25% as calculated on most recent IRS Form 990.
