The Innovation Challenge is open to Plastic Omnium’s employees as well as experts, entrepreneurs, engineers, academics, researchers, public sectors, cities to shape the future of energy for mobility.

Aims

  • The aim is to develop innovative energy solutions for mobility that are environmentally friendly, safe, sustainable throughout their entire lifecycle, and adaptable to meet the needs of all users worldwide.
  • To create multi-actor collaborations around projects to explore sustainable research and innovation solutions with a positive impact.

Eligibility Criteria

  • They are looking for experts of all kinds:
  • Companies, Academic researchers, Start-ups, Social Entrepreneurs, Non Profit Organizations and Associations, Public Organizations, Cities, Artists…
    • start-up / an entrepreneur: bring an innovative solution or approach to this problematic;
    • working for an industrial company: find new potential partners to accelerate the research & innovation projects or learn from them;
    • researcher (every kind of science): working on something that can help solve the problem develop research partnerships with other actors;
    • an association / an NGO: set up a local program with other partners;
    • public policy actor: experiment with a project locally or co-design new tools;
    • provide services (funding, acceleration of innovation): boost promising projects, help your community identify new development opportunities;
    • an artist or art collective: like to propose new ideas and means to raise awareness about the problematic.

    • Sourcing & Selection
    • Call for applications and international targeted sourcing
      • 1st wave – Program open to application – April 5 to May 31
      • Webinar on May 16th
      • Selection of up to 30 candidates on June 7
      • 2nd wave – Open for missing profiles – from June 8 to July 7
      • Selection of up to 10 additional candidates on July 19
  • Phase #2
    • Projects Structuration
    • Meet 50 experts on September 19, share and network, imagine new multi-actors projects to answer the program challenge
      • Meet-up day in Paris on September 19 with 50 experts
      • Structuration of proposals – September 19 – October 6
      • Selection of 8 finalists – October 11
      • Pitch and award ceremony – November 14
  • Phase #3
    • 6 Months Support (Minimum)
    • Coaching by SoScience & fundings by PlasticOmnium
