The REACH Awards aim to support investigator research in the areas of cardiovascular and kidney disease.
Objectives
The objectives of the program are to:
- Support needed research in innovative and understudied areas within the cardiovascular and kidney health space
- Support investigator research with the hopes of creating advancements in cardiovascular and kidney research
- Contribute to the growing body of cardiovascular and kidney research seeking to optimize clinical care and improve patient outcomes
Research Focus
The example focus for the 2024/2025 cycle of the REACH Awards includes clinical or population research that investigates:
- Sex/gender differences in heart and kidney health
- Gaps and barriers in care for heart and kidney diseases
- Underserved/underrepresented populations with chronic kidney disease (CKD) associated with type 2 diabetes (T2D)
- Guideline-directed medical therapies for CKD-T2D and/or heart failure
- The role of aldosterone in disease biology
- CKD in a cardiovascular disease setting
- Implementation science
- Patient-reported outcomes in CKD and T2D
Award Information
- Award value: Up to US $20,000 per recipient.
- Duration of award: 1 year.

All healthcare professionals, fellows, clinical researchers, scientists, and epidemiologists working within heart and kidney diseases in the United States may apply.
