The program’s primary focus is to support commercial rehabilitation and enhance the overall appearance of downtown properties. By participating in this program, you can access grant funds to make much-needed improvements to your building, including façade enhancements and addressing code violations.
Goals, Objectives & Priorities
- The Goal of this project is to eliminate slum and blight conditions, improve the appearance of downtown areas, and correct City code violations. Local objectives shall be met as follows:
- Provide financing assistance for the design and construction of new or renovated building facades,
- Provide financing assistance for building owners to meet City code requirements,
- Support the renovation and improvement of the exterior of downtown buildings; including but not limited to tuck pointing, new windows, roofs, etc. as necessary to preserve the structural integrity of the buildings.
- The priorities of the plan shall be:
- Renovation and reconstruction of building exteriors,
- Structural integrity of commercial buildings,
- Correcting violation of City code requirements.
