The SouthCoast Wind Fund is seeking grant proposals from non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations that:
- Support workforce development in offshore wind and related industries through the creation of training, internship, and apprenticeship programs;
- Develop diversity in the future employment pipeline for the offshore wind and related industries and/or;
- Expand community awareness and advancement of the offshore wind industry through collaboration, education, and outreach.
Applicants may include, but are not limited to:
- Vocational and technical schools;
- Colleges and universities;
- Nonprofit programs focused on:
- Workforce training and/or job placement;
- Youth development;
- Supporting underrepresented individuals to start businesses or new careers;
- Addressing environmental justice;
- The above-mentioned program areas within low-income communities and/or with English language learners.
Proposals that incorporate innovative collaborations between two or more entities are encouraged. Organizations in both Massachusetts, especially on the South Coast, and Rhode Island are welcome to apply.

The SouthCoast Community Foundation’s service area spans 41 cities and towns in the region, with its primary funding focused on the SouthCoast communities of Greater New Bedford, Greater Fall River, and Southern Plymouth County.
