The Wausau Community Development Department invites architects to submit proposals for residential new construction projects located at scattered sites through the City of Wausau.

Projects
- Project A – Single Family New Construction
- The City currently owns several vacant lots throughout the city. The Architect will work with the Community Development Department in the design, site plan and working drawings so contractors are able to bid the project. Two single family house builds per year is the goal for the next three years.
- Project B – New Construction of Multi-Family complex
- The plans for the proposed five to six-unit apartment complex to include a site plan and working drawings complete with foundation (slab on grade), floor and wall sections, headers and beams, window & door schedules, electrical, plumbing and HVAC. These plans will need state approval. The design of the proposed building must be consistent with the existing buildings of the neighborhood. Site proposed to be at 208, 210 and 214 Wyatt Street. Desired number of units would be 3 one-bedroom, 2 two-bedroom and 1 three-bedroom, with laundry facilities.
Proposals
Grant regulations require proposals to be broken down between each property; therefore, please submit a proposal for each project. At a minimum all proposals (which may be submitted in letter form) shall include:
- Project A
- Project schedule for each property to include:
- Timeframe for preparation of working construction plans, compliant to State of Wisconsin and City of Wausau building codes and ordinances for individual residential sites
- Approval from City of Wausau Building Inspectors
- Cost per site for required plans
- Project schedule for each property to include:
- Project B
- Project schedule for multi-unit property to include:
- Timeframe for preparation of working construction plans, submittal to the State of Wisconsin for approval, and submittal to City of Wausau for possible PUD approval
- Advertisement for bids according to State Statutes
- Pre-qualification of contractors
- Bid time
- Bid opening
- Contract award date
- Project start and completion dates
- Project cost for above requirements
- Project schedule for multi-unit property to include:
- Both Projects
- Proof of responsibility and ability to undertake this project
- Ability to adhere to project deadlines
- Any additional information that may be relevant to this proposal.
