The Kirkpatrick Visionary Award (KVA) honors the legacy of Russell Kirkpatrick, co-founder of the Fort Worth Food + Wine Festival and an enduring champion of Fort Worth’s hospitality community. This annual award supports innovative culinary professionals and entrepreneurs whose forward-thinking ideas are driving meaningful change across the region.
This program is designed to fund trailblazing and inventive ideas, not just startups — including product lines, strategic pivots, community programming, or expansions within existing businesses — all rooted in creativity, feasibility, and community impact.
Funding Information
The award includes individual grants of up to $5,000.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Reside or operate in one of the following counties: Tarrant, Parker, Hood, Somervell, Johnson, Palo Pinto, Denton, Wise, or Dallas
- Be a culinary professional, artisan, producer, or food/beverage business serving the Fort Worth area
- Have operated for at least 3 years prior to application, or be launching a new initiative within an existing business
- Agree to participate in FWFWF public relations and promotional efforts
- Comply with all FWFWF reporting and accountability requirements.
