The Emerging Enterprise Center is now accepting applications for its Swim with the Sharks Pitch Competition. This exciting opportunity is designed for early-stage for-profit businesses located in New Castle County, Delaware, that have been operating for fewer than five years.
The grand prize includes a $10,000 cash award provided by the New Castle County Office of Economic Development. Winners also receive a one-year membership in the Emerging Enterprise Center Virtual Incubator Program, valued at $3,600, which offers office and conference space, mail and phone services, mentorship, networking, and business education. Additionally, the grand prize winner gets a one-year membership with the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce, offering business networking, visibility, credibility, training, advocacy, and promotion valued at $350.
Runners-up will receive a one-year New Castle County Chamber of Commerce membership. There is also a People’s Choice Award where all eligible applicants have the chance to win a $1,000 startup prize provided by SCORE Delaware.
To be eligible, businesses must have a valid Delaware business license, be headquartered and have a presence in New Castle County, and be available to pitch live on October 1, 2025, in Wilmington, Delaware. This is a fantastic chance to gain funding, resources, and valuable exposure to grow your business.
