Eligibility Criteria
- Emerging and Mid-career artists, 18 years or older, defined as:
- Emerging Artist – Artist in the early stages of their artistic career with a body of work that reflects their artistic discipline.
- Mid-career Artist – Artist whose artistic career has been established through exhibitions, performances, and a developed body of work.
- Lack of exhibition or performance history is not detrimental to funding decisions. Applicants MUST live, own or rent a studio in Nassau or Suffolk Counties at the time of application and for the duration of the award period. Proof of residence is required to apply in the form of a utility bill or driver’s license.
- Open to all disciplines including, but not limited to:
- Visual Arts: Painter, Sculptor, Installation Artist, Photographer, Printmaker
- Literary Arts: Poet, Novelist, Playwright
- Music: Composer, Musician
- Performance Arts: Dancer, Actor, Choreographer
- Media: Filmmaker, Video Artist
