The overarching objective of these grants is to empower residents to collaborate and enhance their communities by leveraging their skills, experiences and expertise to uplift community health, education, and economic opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria
- An IRS 501(c)3 public charity. Grants may be made to faith-based organizations for non-religious programs offered to the broader community.
- Legally incorporated in the State of Florida
- Organization size must have an annual operating budget greater than $150,000.
- Organizations and programs that work within Jacksonville (Duval County) with a priority for the following ZIP codes for the last two years: 32202, 32204, 32206, 32208, 32209, 32218, and 32254
- Work/project must focus on one of the following:
- Economic Development: Increased access to opportunities that create inclusive and economically thriving communities.
- Education: Investments in educational resources that equip individuals and organizations with the tools to succeed in a career, business and/or industry.
- Health: Solutions that target eliminating social, racial and economic barriers to achieve optimal health and well-being in vulnerable communities.
Ineligibility Criteria
- Athletic associations
- Fundraising event sponsorships
- Schools and school-based organizations (PTAs, boosters, etc.)
- Requests outside our geographical area (must be in Duval County)
- Programs promoting religious beliefs
- Organizations that currently have a grant open with the A.L Lewis Black Opportunity and Impact Fund.
