The Flasher Area Community Foundation (FACF) is now accepting grant applications to support projects that improve the quality of life for residents in southern Morton County, North Dakota. This includes the communities of Flasher, St. Anthony, Huff, and Fort Rice, as well as organizations that serve these areas.
FACF manages donations and distributes grants to local nonprofit organizations and government agencies. A total of $138,446 is available for funding, with grants ranging from $100,000 to $500,000.
To be eligible, applicants must be designated as 501(c)(3) nonprofit tax-exempt groups or government agencies. The foundation prioritizes supporting organizations with limited access to other funding sources. The Advisory Committee may grant extensions or add deadlines and has discretion to fund requests fully or partially.
Projects that serve a larger number of county residents will be given higher priority. Grants are awarded to entities within southern Morton County.
Low priority is given to projects already supported by government funding, national organizations, and requests for operating or day-to-day expenses. Religious organizations can only receive grants for non-sectarian activities that serve the entire community, such as food pantries.
The foundation does not fund requests for individual scholarships, multi-year pledges, or projects connected to political campaigns, propaganda, or activities that could cause significant controversy or division.
