For all CCFA grants, the proposed activity must be fully planned and directly relate to fine arts and/or culture. Eligible creative endeavors include, but are not limited to, concerts, performances, program series, festivals, workshops, exhibits, readings, after-school programs, and public art.
Types of Grants
All applications will be considered for two types of grants:
- American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Support for the Arts (reimbursement model, available only to non-profit organizations)
- CCFA Community grants funded by the Town of East Hartford’s operating budget (direct payment model, available to individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations)
Funding Information
Grants typically range from $50 – $1500.
Grant Period
July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027.
Eligibility Criteria
Grants may be used for the following:
- Wages (directly related to the event, project, or program)
- Payments to contracted artistic, technical, or administrative professionals
- Space rental; occupancy costs (maintenance, security, insurance, utilities, etc.)
- Printing, advertising, and marketing costs
- Evaluation services and documentation (photo, video, audio, collection of statistical information, etc.)
- Production costs
- Materials and supplies.
Ineligibility
- Expenses incurred outside the funding period
- Brick and mortar or capital improvements/construction
- Elimination or reduction of existing debt
- Benefits, fund-raisers, and personal social events/parties
- Scholarship awards
- Political contributions
- Lobbying activities
- Legal fees
- Religious programming, activities or paraphrenalia
- Food and beverages for meetings, programs, and events
- Programs/projects with no connection to East Hartford.
