Blue Diamond Growers’ Community Giving Program supports nonprofit organizations that align with the company’s five core values: acting with integrity, working as partners, delivering quality every day, innovating, and playing to win. The program provides grants to community-based nonprofits in areas where Blue Diamond operates manufacturing facilities, specifically Sacramento, Salida, and Turlock, California.
Grant awards typically range from $500 to $15,000, with overall funding between $10,000 and $100,000. The program focuses on three key areas: STEM education with an emphasis on agriculture and nutrition for underserved K–12 students, workforce development for careers in modern agriculture, and nutrition or food assistance programs aimed at individuals facing food insecurity.
Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that directly support at least one of these focus areas. Blue Diamond reviews all applications in August, with notifications sent in late August or early September. Approved organizations will receive funds starting in late September 2025, pending completion of an online process and invoice submission.
Certain requests are not eligible for funding. These include capital campaigns, discriminatory organizations, third-party fundraisers, religious organizations for sectarian purposes, general financial support to colleges or universities (unless tied to relevant programs), professional or recreational sports teams, and political or individual financial support.
The deadline to apply is July 31, 2025.
