The AAPD Foundation is inviting applications for the One Year Access to Care Grant, which offers funding to organizations dedicated to improving children’s oral health. This grant serves as a starting point for those looking to demonstrate their commitment to providing dental care for underserved children in the United States.
Grants of up to $30,000 are available to support community-based programs that deliver dental services and help establish a dental home for children who have limited access to care. The funding is intended to help local organizations address oral health needs in their own communities.
The project period runs from April 2026 to March 2027. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, local health jurisdictions, county health departments, hospitals, clinics, state agencies, dental and medical schools, dental societies, and programs led or supervised by licensed dentists. Preference will be given to projects with pediatric dental leadership.
Programs that are led by non-dentists, private practices, for-profit entities, or that involve personal expenses are not eligible. All applicants must be non-private dental or medical organizations operating in the United States or its territories.
