The City is seeking qualified home daycare or daycare centers that demonstrate the capacity to carry out eligible program activities in partnership with the City.
The Child Daycare program grant examples include:
- Provide financial assistance to families, who due to income level, do not qualify for the ICCAP and are unable to afford childcare. They understand that families are financially strained due to the childcare costs.
- One-time funding to assist licensed providers towards retention efforts of their existing workforce.
- Outdoor playground space for infants and toddlers.
- Building improvements, furnace, air conditioning, landscaping, façade improvements, etc.
Funding Information
This is an amount the City has determined will be the maximum grant amount $20,000 an agency/organization may request to be funded.
Eligibility Criteria
Center-based programs or family home programs (licensed or license exempt) that provide care as defined by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). The childcare program must be listed on the Child Care Resource Services (CCRS) provider referral database and must currently be located within the City of Decatur.
