In an era of rising construction costs, the façade grant is here to give neighbors a helping hand.
Funding Information
The grant program provides 50/50 reimbursement for eligible improvements up to $5,000 to encourage and advance revitalization efforts.
Eligible Improvements
- Exterior painting of all exterior elevations on residence as well as their cleaning and preparation for painting.
- Repair siding of exterior walls on all elevations.
- Masonry and/or stucco repair and replacement.
- Installation, replacement, or repair of existing awnings or shutters.
- Repairing/replacing doors and windowpanes of residence. (Must meet current Florida Code.
- Repairing or reconstructing front porches and/ or stoops.
- Remedying exterior code enforcement violations.
- Repair or replace existing fencing.
- Constructing or repairing accessibility ramps.
- Roof repair or replacement (applicant must identify and document a need, example roof leak, tree damage, etc.)
- Weatherization & Insulation
- Tree removal for trees causing damage to roof, utility lines, cracking foundation, or structural damage.
- Garage door(s) attached to living quarters.
- Outdoor security lighting
Eligibility Criteria
Only residential properties located within the City of High Springs Community Redevelopment District are eligible for this grant.
