Selected eligible microenterprises will receive $2,000. Funding for this program is through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). MEAP strives to alleviate the economic challenges faced by microenterprises in Milpitas, offering them much-needed assistance to navigate through these difficult times.

Eligibility Requirements
- Operation Location
- The microenterprise must operate within Milpitas city limits.
- Number of Employees
- The microenterprise must not exceed five (5) employees (including W2 employees, contracted (1099), and sole proprietors).
- Type of Operation
- The microenterprise must operate as a for-profit enterprise.
The following types of businesses are not eligible for the Milpitas Microenterprise Assistance Program:
- Government entities,
- Elected official offices,
- State or local government-operated businesses,
- Publicly traded entities,
- Passive businesses,
- Investment companies and investors who file a Schedule E on their personal tax returns,
- Adult-oriented businesses,
- Speculative businesses,
- Businesses primarily engaged in political or lobbying activities,
- Businesses that restrict patronage for any reason other than capacity or age restrictions per regulations,
- Businesses actively engaged in current/pending lawsuits,
- Gambling establishments,
- Real estate investment trusts (REITS),
- Nonprofit organizations,
- Businesses disbarred by the federal government, and
- Businesses actively pursuing a bankruptcy declaration.
