The Neighborhood Tree Matching Mini-Grant Program is designed to provide shade trees in approved rights-of-way and street-facing front yards.
Funding Information
Neighborhood and business associations can apply for funding of up to $10,000 to plant trees in their community.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- The requesting party is a registered neighborhood or business association with the City of St. Petersburg.
- The association has no outstanding previously approved grants with the City of St. Petersburg, with the exception of an award from round two of the Neighborhood Tree Matching Mini-Grant Program.
- Tree planting projects must be completed within 12 months.
- Trees must be planted in the approved right-of-way or on street-facing private front yards with no utility conflicts.
- The trees used must be approved species.
- Letters of support from appropriate City departments are required for planting on City-owned property.
