The purpose of the Community Grant Program is to provide monetary support to local nonprofits, while bringing in-game awareness to the organization’s charitable cause through the 50/50 Raffle presented by Higginbotham. Special Project Grants are an in-kind project to refurbish or replace an existing play or learning space, court, or gym in need of repair.
Community Grants
The purpose of the Dallas Stars Foundation Community Grant Program is to provide monetary support to local non-profits, while bringing in-game awareness to the organization’s charitable cause through the 50/50 Raffle presented by Higginbotham.
Through the Community Grant Program, the selected organizations will be chosen for a benefit game during the 2025-2025 season. During the benefit game, the Dallas Stars Foundation will donate 50% of the proceeds from 50/50 jackpot to the highlighted nonprofit (averaging $10,000). Non-profit organizations with a mission that focuses on youth hockey, community engagement, and health and education of children are encouraged to apply.
The Foundation’s 50/50 Raffle is conducted during each Dallas Stars home game and provides one lucky fan the opportunity to win 50% of proceeds with the remaining 50% benefiting the Dallas Stars Foundation’s Grant Program.
Special Project Grants
The Dallas Stars Foundation works with corporate partners on specials projects with nonprofits and community organizations across North Texas to encourage healthy living and provide safe places for children and residents in the community. This is an in-kind project to refurbish or replace an existing play or learning space, court, or gym in need of repair.
Application Requirements
The following items must be submitted with your application in order to be considered for funding (incomplete applications will not be accepted):
- Cover letter
- Copy of current IRS determination letter
- Names and affiliation of the organization’s Board of Directors
- Overall budget of organization for year of requested funds
- Budget of any specific program, event or project for which funds are being requested
- Any available articles, published literature, brochures, photographs, statistics, or supplemental information relevant to the grant request (please do no include videos)
