The United Way of Perry County is a non-profit organization, committed to raising funds, in an ongoing effort to align with and support local health and human service entities – who are dedicated to and share the organizational mission and values for impacting and improving the quality of life of those they serve in the community.
Funding Priorities
- Health and Wellness – (i.e. new or existing programs or projects, focused on improving physical and mental health, substance abuse resources, environmental/community programs or projects that specifically promote health, wellness and/or healing, etc.)
- Education – (i.e. new or existing programs or projects to improve literacy, graduation rates, overall student success, adult/senior education resources, educational technology, community educational resources/outreach programs, etc.)
- Emergency Assistance – (i.e. new or existing programs or projects that support or provide for basic human needs – food, water, shelter, hygiene supplies and essential transportation; programs that support individual and community safety and preparedness efforts, etc.)

- MOST RECENT IRS 501 (c)(3) tax determination letter
- A CURRENT list of your organizations Board of Directors (with officers indicated)
- A copy of your organization’s Bylaws and procedures.
Ineligibility
- Religious organizations, programs or directly affiliated projects
- Political Parties/Campaigns and/or projects suggesting endorsement
- Endowment creation and/or debt reduction
- Capital Campaigns and/or directly related programs/projects
- Reimbursements for purchases made prior to submission of application
- Operational costs that are NOT directly related to the proposed project or program
- Salaries/Human Capital requests WILL NOT be considered.
